When I say Krishna, people generally remember Girls, Flute, and Butter. The Krishna is far beyond all things. I am not talking about that little Krishna with a lot of stories added in his life. I am talking about the man and his psychology which were far beyond his time, so I call Krishna the man of the future.
We know a lot of things, a lot of stories on Krishna but I bet most of the people don’t know even the little percentage of his personality. Krishna is a mystic born before his time. The first in mankind who distinguished Religion and Spirituality. Krishna is a unique mystic ever born, he is the man of the future so he was not appreciated in his time, but is appreciated now. He is a psychologist for someone, a strong politician for someone, female-centered for someone, and God for others. I am not going to disturb your belief system, because he is like that. If you know his Bhagwat Gita, he is the best philosopher for you, if you know his Mahabharata he is the best politician for you, if you know his love story, he is the best lover, and so on. So anyone with any perception of Krishna is correct. People who love Krishna as a lover generally avoid loving him as a philosopher, who loves Krishna as a philosopher avoids loving him as a lover, and so on. The one who accepts the Krishna in his totality is the one who understands Krishna. Understanding Gita is not enough to understand the man, knowing just Mahabharat is not just enough to understand the man and his philosophies.
First of all, let’s distinguish Ram and Krishna. Have you noticed, the life of Ram is said as a story or a biography whereas the life of Krishna is taken as Leela. Ram is a personality with limited beliefs and ideologies. He is the best one who has followed the rule of conduct and character. No matter how the situations in his life as he was never outside of his principles. So he is called, Purrusottam. Krishna on the other hand is of a playful nature. He never took life seriously, he tried to enjoy every moment. Krishna was never limited, this nature of him made him the King of Dwarika from the general shepherd of Brindavan. A shepherd who turned his dream of marrying the princess come true, there are a lot of stories that I don’t think I need to recall.
In this series, I will try to express some of Krishna’s philosophy that makes him the man of the future. I will also try to put forward the real stories that give answers to some misunderstood stories. Was the life of Krishna full of joy? Was he a religious man? Did Krishna marry 16,000 Girls? We will find out in this series. I have written this series not just from one perspective, so some ideas could be from Gita, some from Bhagwat Gita, some from Mahabharata, and various other books that deal with Krishna and his life.
